All Treasure Hunting
This was a fairly long drive for us into the next County to show our last seasons finds to one of our newest land-owners (only started last year). They both have a keen interest in history which always helps when showing & sharing out the finds/coins. They also wanted some IDs on the coins that their resident detectorist had found over the years.
After our show & tell we tried a short hunt in the nearest horse paddocks. Their son with his detector joined us & we shared a few tips.

We then moved to a large Winter Wheat field & started what I call loose gridding; gridding a large area but missing a couple of runs every turn. So as to cover more ground & sniff out any hotspots.
We didn't get into any older hotspots but we finished with a fair amount of finds;

PS. Message to Land-Mag - The map still needs the consent signing off, so she will chase soon. Therefore, it's still not ready for collection.:thumbsup:

Even your northern lands have terrible soil?? It looks like you dig on the same kind of conditions, lots of fertilizer?
I really feel a little bad that you don't have good soil conditions, because your hunt would be unveliable...
Well it's a really fun hunt any way, silver and all the rest!
Congratulations, still jealous any how hahaha

Looks like a good start. Romans not far away. I notice many buckles and a lot of buttons. Must been really close to the farm? Anyways, new land is welcome at all times! :icon_thumright:

A bunch of buckles .. even a complete! :icon_thumright:

All our ploughed land is the same where ever we go. Chemicals.

It's less than a mile from a large historical Villiage/town & the field was on a cross-roads.
