Out for a ride

Yesterday morning I hit the bike paths around me. There's a hill that is situated where two small creeks meet where I've located a few artifacts, but i only managed to locate a couple of flakes. It's noisy in much of the area I live by traffic and industry, but in one area along the main creek there are places to get away from most of that howl of the developed world. Found a quiet place where the only sound was that of a lone cricket and the trickling of the creek. The trail runs under an overpass which the Cliff Swallows find handy and also a pathway for Coons, Skunks, Coyote and Fox to slip around without notice. The weather is getting cooler now, which is a relief.

Yellow and red jasper are indicators for me in this part of the country to look a little closer. Winter's comin buddy, if you're gonna get out past Idaho Springs, better do it soon. Maybe y'all can be leaf peepers, haha!

I'm okay with the them big plains cottonwoods anymore down around home. They're actually very pretty during the fall and never get the credit they deserve. Still I can take a short ride along the peak to peak highway to check out them aspens. Interesting that its so close to the Big D, not all that many of them hang around that area. They all gotta go to Summit, Park and Lake County to see yellow trees.
