Man...I don't know how all you F.P. hunters do it............My legs are sore,my ankles & hips.................No signals for 1/2 hour ...then way to much trash the next 50 feet ,and back to one signal every 20 feet ? ....I don't know how to hunt correctly in those conditions.......I covered more ground in this hunt than I did my last 5 or 6 for an 8 hour hunt. I must have walked 1 1/2 miles threw the woods trying to find a goodie...Frustrating......................................................
I think from now on I will stick to hunting those hunted out parks.
Cudos to you guys that hunt the Groves & FP's......Thats some brutal hunting...
I found 56 cents in clad.....4 wheats in the 40's....one wheat looks like a 1909s but will have to soak a while before I can really read the date.......The ugliest Indian Head I have ever found...(I dont even think electrolisis could help this Puppy show its date)
....I did get lucky in finding 2 silvers tho...a 1920 merc in fine + shape...and a semi key date 1900 (0) barber dime in G-4 condition....H.H.

Dave
It was nice to meet you. Sorry I had to leave early. I was hoping I wouldn't get the call but I did...

Give it a week and you'll feel better ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

HI HO SILVER to ya too....

Congrats...............

Nice coinage again! Sharp '20 for sure!

As far as walking the woods, we have spots that are literally a couple miles from any parking out this way so my next project is building a bike trailer to help get in and out of these. I've pedaled in to some before trying to carry all the tools necessary but by the time you get enough gear you haven't got any space left for the shotgun brass!

I agree the FP hunts are Very tough on me to. Maybe I'm feeling my age!!
Nice Barber.

Great looking silver Dave! WTG!

GOOD JOB DAVE FINDING SOME SILVER. THE 1900-0 LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ONE I FOUND AT JACKSON!

Great hunt Dave! It's a lot of swinging, but you persevered and came out with not one, but two silver! Nice ones too. Woods hunting is tough in my opinion because I feel like I can't grid properly, that and every time the coil gets hung up on something you're cursing... and then the spider webs in the face are the worst. However, finding a virgin picnic grove or fairgrounds in the woods is GREEEEAT!

Nice finds Dave. I'm kind of a "hunted out park" feller' myself. ;D
