Out of Options - Hammered saved the day!

[CRUSADER]

On the way to where we searched on fathers day, we passed by one of our other farms. We were happy to see 2 small areas of set-a-side. Sadly after 1 hour all we had was 1 penny & the largest Lead Button we have found. (medieval I think )
We then carried on to the fields we wanted to do, only to find they had been medium ploughed & were too difficult to detect.
We drove around a couple of other places with no joy & then settled for 1.5 hours on the already done Saxon Gaming Piece Field. (now very weedy!)

Dad saved the day with a Hammered Penny of Charles I.
