Got out and dug three cool pieces. And the cool part of it was I was on a hill that was inline with a Confederate HQ. Not much but lot's of fun.

I like your shovel.

Think you have a 44 Henry Casing? Does it have two firing pin marks?

A few keepers there and a nice late autumn landscape shot of the country side. I'd have fun just tromping around out there.
Nick

Thanks Nick it was a very nice day, and the finds just made it better. HH

Nice finds G2!! As you know well, if you hunt in middle Tennessee and find 3 good CW relics for your collection in a few hours you are doing well. HH, Quindy.

Where did you get the shovel, I like the looks of it.

not being funny, but it looks strong but narrow, increases the chance of damage to anything, but having said that I take 2 seconds to dig after contact, from the vids (USA) you take a lot longer. So hopefully no mistakes will happen?

I'd like to know more about that fine digging tool.

Yes so right most of the time we spend just out for a walk, and then there are the times that we do well.

Thanks Quindy, HH

Ok, guys not trying to sale you but this shovel is it the best that I have put in the ground, took me a long time to get it man was I messing out. It is made by Predaor tools. Mr Lesche put it out this spring. He calls it the model #35 Piranha and I know how he came up with that, it will cut through it all. I have a model#88 Hercules for my yard work love it to. You can find them at Predator tools.com Get you one you will love it.

In the past I have cut up some well we'll say stuff lol. But I do good on my pinpointing and have learned to dig slow stay back off my targets and let my pro pointer sniff it out. HH

Sounds like a lot of history in that area and you saved some. Great day to be out.

As you have said, its a beast so will cut up objects coins with no problem. So as you say always dig back from where you think it is, because its always your best rare find that gets the hit. Makes you sick, so thats why I go big & take away any chance. but even with my spade I have a few close misses, although as I said, I only take about 2 passes over my target(first time I hear it second sweep to zero it), dig & in the pouch in 30 secs...
