when these first went on clearence at radioshack i spread the word real quick and alot of others purchased one. i actually took mine out to the desert, high mineral content (only took to the park before) and at first it went psyco, then calmed down. i put the iron disc on and was getting high tones almost every other sweep. i was in a very trashy iron area. was the iron making it go nuts
