PD, is that the only commemorative that was issued for that year or does it have some other significance?

Here's the scoop Pierce is my only child (THANK GOD!) All my silver "winnings" go to his education. Hopefully by the time he get to college I'll be able to pay for a book or two. Anyway he was born in 2003 and both his Godparent are Pilots, thus the Wright Bros. coin is really cool.

PD, did you ever find this coin? My local coin shop has it for $25. Not sure what you were wanting to pay for it.

Yeah, unfortunately I've discovered they are clad! I thought there was a silver version also, but no. Can't see paying that kinda $$ for clad, 'Specially when I'm gonna actually destroy the coin.

Time for plan B.

Michael, they do make a silver dollar version of this coin. I am not sure Pierce will ever need that big a ring but it solves one problem for you. Jim

Looks like it may be just a '65 or a '68 halve thats my birth year and the 47thelements birth year. Not very original.
