My wife is getting better with her painting ... she finished this one yesterday while waiting for the air conditioning guy to finish repairs on our unit. Acrylic on canvas.

nice, tell your wife to keep up the good work. She is doing great.

Very lovely! There's a lot of detail in that. Tell her I said well done.

I like it. Understands negative space.

Nice! I've just now finished ordering my supply of acrylic paint. I mix up my own, ingredients came from an art education supplier. Have got the acrylic paint pigment by the half gallon, some colors are the new metallic silver, brass, gold. Then the matte and gloss thickener gel paste by the gallon, a whole lot cheaper way to stock up. Primer by the gallon also. From the same company, 1 quart of profession grade artist's acrylic paint list price is over $100. I get everything up to 50%-55% off from the art education place.

I'm planning on watercolor paper with primer formula, to paint on, 140 lb. weight or 300 gsm. Have a few rolls of it 42" wide, large enough to make 42" x 32" paintings.

I wish I could paint your very lucky hope to see some

Does she belong to a society? I think all the states have some type of watercolor society or guild. Most of the ones I'd looked at accept acrylic paintings if done the right way on watercolor paper or other wet media paper/boards. A couple of them even accept mixed media, meaning 75%-80% wet media along with pastels, water soluble pencils, etc.
