Panama City Flordia visit

Hi out there!

My wife and I are going to Panama City from Dec 22-29th. Can anyone tell me if there are any parks or ? that are open to MDing. I am taking my water detector for the beach but was wondering if I should pack my ACE250 also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeo, I would take both... I haven't search near there, ever. I've look at maps and some tales about the area. There are more stories over near Ft. Walton beach. But in both areas there ar a lot of USAF property and MD'ing is not allowed. Several unid'ed schooners went down 'off the mouth of St. adndrews Bay' in the 1800, one had rum, one had gold bars. (?) Artifacts (?from when?) have been found at the extreme end of East Bay, just north of wetappo, a ghost town i think, 3 miles NorthEast of Allanton. More tales around St. Joesph in Gulf County.
Best bet may be to find a MD shop in P. City.
