hi,
on my property, i have a small ravine, which has a pretty nice stream running through it, theres lots of small gravel, and i have found black sand there, but the base is pretty much flat shale stones of variang thickness,,my question is,,would there be any possability of finding any gold there,,i dont recall reading anything about shale areas being good places to look or not...
thanks

I prospect were there is shale rock bedrock. In between the layers of shale there is small flat gold and lots of fines. I just breaK apart the layers and put it thru the sluice box.

If there is gold up stream Shale is a natural sluice..

Of course, just rmember when and how shale is formed. The Gold could have been deposited before, during, or after the formation of the shale.
