Hello out there , I'm new to metal detectors but trying to learn with my grandaughter. We just got a Bounty Hunter Gold digger 2 - 13. We have had some luck and lots of fun. My question is this when you get a hit that sounds good and then you pan over the spot where you got the hit and there no more sound what's going on ? any suggestions , Pappy.

Lift your detector coil up and hold it away from any metal for a few, then sweep again. try that and see if it helps.
