Park Day - No school due to power outage!

Second day of no power since the storm ripped thru Maine on Sunday night. High winds knocked out power to around 350k people...

So... no school for the kids! I took my 6yr old out to a soccer field then the old park across the way. Handful of clad, the usual 100 pull tabs and more trash than we could carry!

We did find a couple keepers including this cool enameled pin, a sterling owl earring and a nice 1944 wheat. It’s always fun as the kids get an equal thrill regardless what comes out of the hole! Not sure on the age, and no markings on the back. Cool none the less. Good luck and happy hunting!

When you have no power and it's cold, get everyone and the pets, into the smallest room to sleep. Body heat really warms things up.

We did that the first night... then threw in the towel and hooked up the generator! You don’t realize how important lights and hot water are until your without... GL&HH

Extended power outages are the perfect time to hunt areas that would normally have heavy EMI from power lines. There are a couple spots in my area I'm making a bee line to if he power goes off.
