It finally stopped raining! After a very wet and gloomy week I decided to hit a local park where in the past I dug a nice mix of old and new coinage. I went over to the area where I found a toasty LC last year and began my grid. Swinging slow I hit few targets (clad). 15 or so minutes I hit a deep signal on my Deus, which sounded similar to a penny. Flipped the plug and was treated to a Gold surprise!

It's been a while since gold came across my coil so I'm pretty excited!
It has an array of hallmarks and it's 22kt!

When I got home I gave it a soap bath and placed it on a scale: only .116 oz but I researched the marks and I think it's a 1866 Birmingham UK band. Still not sure what the maker is (H A)? Any help will be appreciated!

Besides this a dozen or so wheats and 1951 Rosie.
It was great being out in warn sunshine and swinging again!
Happy hunting all!!
