It cleared at the perfect time today, drove downtown to drop my brother off for graduation rehearsal and then down to a park I've been looking at for a week. The park was empty, everything was at peace.

Clouds cleared for a decent hunt

Mercury dime was so crusted the obverse was covered entirely. The rim was still sharp which was interesting.

After cleaning with soap, water and cloth. Never thought it was that old! Has environmental damage.

This one I'm not sure about. Just asking for an ID:)

Afterwards and later we grabbed lunch and took a trip up the Tower of the Americas as a part of celebrating my brothers graduation.
Pictures from the tower here.

Will be returning soon for more. As long it doesn't rain!:toothy2:

Maybe the sliding part of a cable splicer ? Nice silver!

Great finds !

It's totally up to you but whenever I find a Sliver coin in similar condition to yours - I've had very good results by putting the coin in an Electrolysis Bath.
I've done this with at least a dozen coins - something to consider.

Good Hunting !
