Very cool find. Since it has been cleanly cut and has mounting holes drilled it,
I would think it's from something from a display like this: (just guessing though)

I collect lodge swords and there's nothing even similar in any of my books, way too much iron for one thing. There were regalia swords and scabbards that broke down to fit in a suit case for travel but I don't think this is one of those. As far as a lodge sword goes, it's all wrong.

I looked around some more and the design on the counter guard and the shape of the pommel appears to be Spanish.
