Hey guys, thought i would get out this weekend & do a little screening/detecting at my (permission) colonial site, cut short due to heat:unhappysmiley: Anyhow, i ended up with a decent assortment of stuff. I actually really enjoy the ceramics about as much as the rest of it, so many varieties of English, Spanish, French & very crude:headbang:

This is some killer stuff! NW Florida sure knows how to please its relic hunters in a Colonial way. The cufflinks would make my year. The pottery and pipe bowls are always welcomed in my collection. Oh man! Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kirk

Wow! Fantastic finds! I had no idea NW Florida had so much Colonial history! Can't find much like that here in NE FL. Jealous!!

Nice finds. Nice shards, pipe bowl and stems. Are you in a trash pit? Are you digging in a field or a ravine? Do you have any pics of the site?

What an enthusiastic reply!!! Thanks Kirk:occasion14:

Thanks Premierjet & Joeyfresh also:occasion14: Pensacola was settled in 1559, but St. Augustine is the oldest permanent settlement. Premier, have you ever tried Fernandina beach in NE Fla.? I used to live in Jacksonville & i would occasionally go there to hunt, some nice early stuff there too:thumbsup: Joeyfresh, a good percentage of the stuff i have been finding is from trash pits. Its not a field or ravine, but a private lot with a house on it. Dont have any pics yet. Thanks again everyone:hello:
