Funny. I thought Pringles was a made up name like Eastman made up the name Kodak. What's the other side of that thing look like?

Sorry about that. Posted. This item is two piece and the bottom with the pat mark spins and is held in with the pin you see in the pic I added.

I double checked the item with a Loop and the die maker for the item spelled it PRINGLE. If you notice the meat of the patent reads Pringle also.

I guess no one could figure out how to pronounce Pkingle and changed it.

Thanks for the detective support!

Negative, I just checked it under a loop and it is a two. The 2 even has a slight upward flip in the bottom right corner. Tough to see with the pics but verified with a loop.

Great ID nhbenz... I agree with cudamark that the button looks like a snap....even the patent details describe a snap type button. I would think that this is one of the first versions of snap being used...they were commonly used on work clothes after 1900.
I wonder if he sold his design of work buttons to different work glove manufacturers?

Thanks all for the detective work. No doubt that someone at the patent office goofed when they listed Pringles name as Pkingle on the listing header.
