Lol Athens is my property in Maine just used as good name.Im in Massachusetts,I try to do all history of areas before I detect.I think it is helping finding stuff.The area I hunt was first settled in I believe 1636,Then the native Americans killed all residents and burned plantation.Ive looked for years but no one can find original plantation.The town was then settled again in late 1700s
 

Crotal Bell halfs and a bunch of 1800's Flat Buttons - well done !
There's probably Mfg.'s names on the back of the Buttons - such as "Scovil".

Thank you,I am so pumped at my luck lately, unfortunately no readable info on them,too corroded, Thursday was when I found my first older coin to corroded to read date but my research leads me to a 1817 Large cent,I found a 1901 v Nicklethere as well the next day.so awesome
