Here is a story I would like to tell you. My brother at the age of 36 joined the National Guard full time a few months ago. He got two weeks off for Christmas and was at Dallas- Ft. Worth airport to fly home. While he was there many people came up to him and thanked him for enlisting to protect our country and our freedom. When the plane landed in Detroit the pilot came on the P.A. and said there are 5 soldiers on the plane that are coming home for Christmas to see their families and that they wanted them to get off the plane first. When the soldiers got up to get off the plane everyone started clapping as they walked off. Patriotism in this county is still alive and well and it was a real shot in the arm to hear this. Thanks to every soldier past and present for our freedom.

Glad we're not in the '60's anymore!
Kudos to your brother AND those who acknowledge him and those like him!

Wolverine, That is a great story and I'm so glad that they were so honored. We owe so much to all our service men and women. A hearty congratulations to your brother for enlisting. God bless him and all the others that are in service to
our country.

Thanks for sharing.

Mich Wolverine. I spent 20 years in the military and my wife is still in with 29 years and counting. She is a reservist but travels all over the US weekly. Almost everyday that she is in the airport or restaurant someone thanks her for her service to this country, offers to buy her meal or offers her their first class seat. She always refuses their generosity but almost always ends up talking to them about our military. They are always quite and very respectful. On the other hand there are the anti military loud mouths who give her abuse on our military and what the US is doing in Iraq. Thank God their in the minority. They are always very loud and very disrespectful. Tell your brother thanks for his service and patriotism and to you for posting this. PJ
