I sold something on Ebay for the first time in a long time. They would not release the money until I entered the Tracking number (and then, only when the item arrived). I have an offer from Hong Kong to buy a Phone I have up for sale now. How do I enter tracking info on an international sale? Unless I send it registered, there is no Tracking. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks all.

Um, aren't you sending it to Kentucky through the gsp program? If so all you need is the tracking to Kentucky and if you buy label through eBay it's automatically uploaded.

What are you talking about? Who said anything about Kentucky?

The Global Shipping Program through eBay. I don't sell internationally on eBay but if I did I would use the GSP, you ship the item to their fulfillment center and they do the rest.

I send a lot of first class packages via eBay. I get tracking if you buy the postage through them, and it is automatically uploaded. If you sell international and don't want to use their global shipping program, you can postage through PP, and it will upload the shipping there. If you go to the post office, then you won't get tracking unless you pay for it, and there is a way to manually enter the tracking information.

The global shipping program has all items shipped to Kentucky. At eBay's shipping center in Kentucky they handle customs and shipping from Kentucky to wherever the buyer is. They handle everything and so your ONLY responsibility is to get it to Kentucky. I have sold several things through the gsp and everything has gone trouble free and I know it helped me get higher prices than I would have otherwise been able to get.

If I was you any global sales would go exclusively through the gsp, and the best part is its at the buyers expense.

I can't think of any reason not to use the gsp. Is there any reason I haven't thought up yet?

I have had many buyers tell me about exorbitant shipping fees and tariffs collected up front. Personally, and depending on the item, Canada/Europe/Australia is easy to ship to using International first class, much cheaper, and relatively issue free. South America/Asia/Russia/Anywhere else - I would never ship anything there without using the GSP.
