Pear Whelk Shells

I found a dozen of these Pear Whelks completely in tact on the beach in an area that dates to the Paleo Period, about 1300-1500. Due to the rains from TS Issac, they were uncovered after being preserved for a very long time. I included a close up of one of the two biggest because of the coloring and all the lines on it.
