Pendant with carving on it

Here is a pendant that was handed down to me from my grandfather severeal years ago and I just recently noticed that there was a pic of a dog or wolf on it. You have to hold it at a certain angle to see it which is why I never noticed it before.

Very nice piece...Can you please provide more pictures of the rest of it? By the position of the tail it does suggest a dog. Other marks may be of interest and how the hole is drilled.
