and had the Widest Use in their days.
Church & School Picnics near by. used for cover during Rain storms.
Lovers Hangouts.
Play areas for Kids.
Cock Fights, and other Gambling.
Rendezvous for all types of legal & Illegal activities.
Most had a Rest stop, Picnic grove nearby.
Fishing.
And even Land mark for Buried Caches, Hidden Loot, etc.
