With all the threats of rain today I just went to one of my local haunts. The mansion.
I have been hunting this place for about 6 months now. I've COMPLETELY hunted it out! Right?
Wrong.
The hits ARE getting fewer and fewer there but I thought that the recent rains just might highlight something.
I got two relics and three pennies.

The little button thing has something on it but I can't make it out. Sort of a broken off, screw attachment on the back.
Like I said, I've been hunting this place for a while and when I got there I dragged my coil through an area I had gridded many times before. Not expecting, you know, then, bing! A penny hit! Now how the heck!?!? Couldn't be!
But, yep, at about 4 inches:

Recent coin but not recently dropped. So, how'd I miss that signal?!?
Anyway, the rest of the 2 hours I paid a little more attention to see what else I missed.
Again, bing! Another penny hit! About an hour later though. LOL
Still:

About 8 inches, but easy enough to hear. 1911

As the clouds started to darken up again I started moving toward home. When....
BING! Huh!
Same as the other two, about a regular penny hit, a little deeper but still:
I dug,

Between 8 and 10 inches, grass included.

Sure didn't look like a penny! Too big!

Copper!! Too dirty to tell much, have to wait til I get home.

Pretty toasty and hard to take a decent picture, but near as I can tell, 1825 large cent.
What a STRANGE hobby this is!! LOL
Glad you stopped by, hope you enjoyed.
HH!
