Perfect jug and Tomahawk.

I found the jug and my buddy tagged the Tomahawk.. Any info on the Tomahawk would be greatly appreciated.

I think your right Steve... my buddy researched it this morning and that is what he came up with too. Still was very interesting to find it where he did.

Those jugs were invented about 1890. You can still buy them around here. Only a few stores in Lancaster County have them. They have the straight sided crocks for sale also. Yours is probably 80-100 years old.

The "tomahawk" looks like something kids would do. I had one like it once. Also had a rubber one with a bamboo handle.
