perfume bottle??

Found this on top of the dirt at a old 190ss house any idea what it was??

Picture's not very clear, but it looks like some older Avon or the like perfume sample bottles. I founf one thats actually embossed Avon on the bottle, and it's guaranteed earlier than 1949, cause thats when my grandpa's boyhood home burnt! Neat find!
