Permission gittin' story

A couple of years ago I discovered an old schoolhouse (late 1800's) and just had to hunt the site!

I would drive by on occassion hoping to catch someone in the yard as it was obviously a residence. That day FINALLY arrived and I pounced on the chance to ask permission to hunt the grounds. In my sweetest voice I explain to the middle-aged man of my intention to metal detect his yard, he said that it's his mom's house and to come in and ask her.
So in the house I go. I met a delightful, chatty elderly woman. She gave me a YES, do hunt and then handed over newspaper articles on other school houses in the area. Wow! What a great day!

I hunt the property and after my 2nd visit (to return articles) I notice the old lady hasn't been around. Her son told me that she's in the hospital (surgery). He told me to hold onto the newspaper clippings as she'd like to talk to me.
Now fast forward a couple of weeks, I return to visit her...as I was sitting on the sofa, she proceeds to tell me about her surgery...then adds, "would you like to see my incision?" I said, "um, no, that's ok"...she ignored my reply and pulled up her shirt and then pulled down her sweat pants...OMG...there 'it' was... I was in shock and wanted to be polite but what DOES one say when faced with an 80+ yr. old musky biscuit? :o

i swear I'll never forget that moment...even after years of therapy!

Sidenote: I didn't find much, except, well a lesson in old lady anatomy.

Anyone else have a weird experience when askin' permission to hunt a site?

Re: Permission gittin' story

like to see pics of your finds, but i'll pass on the musky biscuits :o

Re: Permission gittin' story

ha ha ha...good story, made me laugh, like I always say...."Better you than me" ha ha

Re: Permission gittin' story

OMG.

Well, hopefully she gave ya permission to hunt--and hopefully you DID hunt it, since it CERTAINLY couldn't have gotten any worse than that!

Seriously, I will be having NIGHTMARES about that one for YEARS...

So I'll try to counter it with a great story from my Younger Days in Virginia.  I was riding with a friend up to knock on the door of an Oooold house in a very isolated area.  As we pulled up in the driveway, I saw a NUDE girl running across the backyard.  I mean, she was moving FAST, and some parts of here were simply Gravity-Defying   :o  I sat there for about 30 seconds trying to think of whether I should knock on the door or not at this point--and decided I'd better go ahead.

Well, when I knocked, this BEAUTIFUL, Brunette College Student opens the door wrapped only in a beach towel.   :o :o

She was pretty embarrassed, and said that she was sunbathing in the back yard when we pulled up.  (I'm surprised she even answered the door!)

She then told me that she couldn't give permission since she wasn't the owner--but was merely Housesitting!   :D

If that isn't enough Young Vivaciousness to outweigh the musky muff at the top of this post, I'll post my story about a drunk blonde in the River on a snorkeling and metal detecting jaunt... ;D

I believe it would be a well-aged "third base". And if you STILL can't figure it out, you must have led a very protected life. :evil6: :evil6: :evil6:

Man, some of the alternative words for "well-aged" offered by spell check are really hilarious. ;D "Wellhead" and "welcomed" are a couple of goodun's.

Might be when you are well-aged yourself you might rethink that remark! :sign10:

Re: Permission gittin' story

it's different when it's your own biscuit :D

naw, I don't think I'll re-think or change my stance on the subject, even when I'm 80. I'll be sitting in a rocker on the front porch of a retirement community, in pink spandex asking every young lad to come over and pull my finger.

heck, who knows, by then a biscuit lift/tuck might be all the rage...LOL

Re: Permission gittin' story
