Got permission for an 1830 house, started early this morning, first target,1960 Washington, the guy came out and said the lady that owned the place would rather no one detect,so,went to the field I hammered last year and scored a Coin silver watch back, not a total loss, but,I would have rather have finished that yard,oh well, just have to keep knocking on doors. GodBless Chris

Chris, sorry to hear you got turned down. I can't imagine that happens very often. Great job on the silver!

Tonight is a full moon?!? Great finds=ED

Great silver still

I'm confused. Who gave the initial permission? If it was the guy, I think I'd seek out the alluded lady. See if "real" permission might be granted. The guy might've changed his mind and figures to rent his own detector and find that treasure that just HAS to be there. LOL

HH!

Don't believe so,His daughter rents the place ,He lives there too,bad knees so He won't be doing any digging, there are a lot more older homes to check.

I know you have so many places you don't need this one. But, I would want to know why she doesn't want it hunted. Just curious what the going excuse is these days. (did she bury someone in the yard? LOL )

Nice one, whadifind :)

How do you know it's coin silver? Is there a mark? Just asking as I would have no idea. Great finds

they are doing a lot near the center of Amherst..a couple moved buildings...Pratt field all bulldozed up....you might want to try up there...people seem fairly friendly around there.....or that drained Smith college pond...I have a postcard from the 1910s....you might want to check that out.....

lots of other dirt to hunt, don't let it discourage you!

There's always lots of door jams to knock on, nice going on the silvers.
