Hi, This is Sanddigger I have a Question can anyone tell me... WHY it Only COST $ 20.00
Up State New York... AND $ 40.00 On Long Island ? Long Island is Part of New York RIGHT ?This permit is For having Fun with your! Metal Detector, it Look Like no one can tell me why the cost of $40.00 is so high on the Island

The $40 permit is for all Long Island State Parks, including Jones and Robert Moses. Considering the MILLIONS of folks that visit these parks and beaches every year, most of us consider it a bargain.

I live on Long Island and don't mind paying the 40 bucks. It pays for itself and you don't have to worry about parking.
