Perpetual Energy Device?

Found this piece about 4 inches down at a turn of the century coal mining area. About the size and weight of a clutch plate. The perimeter round pieces (each the size of a donut) are tightly coiled bands of thin copper.

Any ideas?

It's part of an electric motor.

Desertexplorer is right on!! They were ahead of their time, hard to find now, and very expensive[ Their output was 28 vdc and powered the buzz coil bank without having a battery. Very cool find!!!QUOTE=desertexplorer;6644121]1910 - 1920’s Model T Ford magneto.View attachment 1885761Mounted in the transmission behind the engine.View attachment 1885762Another engine with a view of the trans. Wow I found the same thing last spring.

And all this is due to the fact that I decided to buy a new metal detector. I had already passed through that place before and found nothing, but after buying a new one, I decided to go through that place again and found a lot of interesting things, even a small gold earring. Thanks to reviews from here https://buyersimpact.co.uk/ in which it was written about xp metal detectors orx and which I really liked both in quality and price.
