Headed out with the detector to and old mining site on a ranch I've got permission on. It wasn't a good time 😞 my detector died on me. And I don't know if I can get it repaired. BUT, I put it away and started looking for artifacts, because those have been found there too, and I ended up hauling out a 75 lb chunk of petrified wood, really pretty and some good agatetization in it! I may be in my 40s, but I guess I am still in good enough shape to do that! Haha! Lots of nice jasper out there too, like the nice red/red orange piece in the pic!
Been skunked detecting so much that the second place prizes are often the best.
