I found a few new pieces of petrified wood. So my short hunt today wasn't a total buzz kill enjoyed the walk down the creek anyways until the heat set in.

Looks like you got the whole tree. When I was a kid I was alway facinated with petrified wood. Nice find.

Great Finds! When we spent a winter in Louisiana planting trees, I brought home over 500 pounds of petrified wood. I've given a lot of it away but still have a lot of the big pieces on the deck. Go Back and get more!

Petrified wood is so cool. Love that people still like it. They're great coffee tables.
