I emailed a dozen experts looking for an identification on this. I received four responses, all of them were the same I.D. Would anyone like to take a shot at this? I cut and pasted my find on a google image of the creature for comparison. I think that made it too easy... there are tooth sockets with one tooth still remaining upright. This is a partial jaw, the lower section is missing.

I added one more image

If it turns out to be a jaw bone, that would be great. Good luck.

That is most interesting.......

Thank you, the experts said it’s from a Mosasaurus

That is very cool! Did you find that? And what state or country?

Yes, I found this along with many other remains. I lost count actually

It has not been cleaned or prepped in any way. I do not want to damage it, I have another one too, but it’s heavily covered in a matrix still.

In Ohio

I understand this goes against the geological data records. This strip of land that I own survived
