Aaaaaaand I'm back! This time with petroglyphs.
Sorry for the long break guys. Haven't been able to get out and explore much lately but I did take pics of some 'glyphs. I apologize for the sucky quality though. only had my iPhone with me. We don't find many arrowheads out here in the Sonoran Desert, but what the ancient people did leave behind, I think is remarkable and I hope some of you appreciate it too. :)

Very Cool! :icon_thumleft:

Here are a couple in the Bradshaw Mountain foothills, on the way to the "Ugly Dog" gold mine near Humbug Creek.

Very nice for you to share. I wonder how many we have here in GA?

Btw, it's nice to meet someone else from AZ on this forum!

Nice!! Thanks for sharing, I just hope those are remote enough to avoid theft and destruction.
Checked a place here in Tennessee this past winter that had a lot of petroglyphs when I was a kid to take pictures but they have all been chiseled out and are gone. What a shame, I was devastated, and hope karma unloads 10x on those who took them and now have them, whoever they are and no matter how fat their bank account is or their position in society.
Rich collectors here pay high prices for such artifacts, and the poverty ridden locals have stripped the Cumberland Plateau cliffs bare of the ancient artwork that was once abundant and told of life long ago.

Those are cool. A place to go see is on the west side of AlbuquerqueDSCN0337.webpDSCN0334.webpDSCN0333.webpDSCN0311.webpDSCN0310.webpDSCN0308.webpDSCN0307.webpDSCN0318.webp

I grew up in Phoenix, did a lot of riding and hiking from the Superstitions, the Sierra Estrellas, Weaver and Bradshaw Mountains, Four Peaks, Grand Canyon, Mogollon Rim. Found a few more shots.
