Thanks guys so far, I don't think IP's broadband is working at the mo', but I'm looking up 9th regiment of foot and 6th reg too

That's a good one. Doesn't look like an exact match to the book, but good enough to say it's a British 6th of Foot enlisted man's pattern, circa. 1768-1776. We call those ones Rev War over here! (And you can to)
