🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Pewter eagle button

I found this button years ago at a site in Cibolo Texas (near San Antonio). It was a homesite from about the 1880s-1920.
I did find some relics that pre dates that, including part of a flintlock rifle, and a coin from Haiti from the 1840s.
This button appears to be pewter, and it can faintly be seen that there is an eagle on the front. Much other detail is hard to determine from it.
Anybody have any ideas?

Post Rev War, and has the look and details of 1820's Infantry, which some were blank back pewter. Nice early button !
