Found this over the weekend, I think it's a pewter spoon, any ideas on it's age :dontknow: Or if it's not a pewter spoon I'm wide open for suggestions. Thanks Dean

Yep, is pewter and is old! I would be hitting that area in search of MASS silver!


You might get a time frame from the UK guys, they like spoons more than me. ;D

Yeah I have lost quite a few old sites over the last few years but not much you can do about it. Try to find a site while you're there and make the most of it.

will be heading there tomorrow if the rain holds off, oh ya thanks IP for the confirmation on it being pewter.

The shell and little "wings" are French influence, so probably 1800 or later. This would have a "fiddle" style handle.
