Pewter Spoon

Found this over the weekend, I think it's a pewter spoon, any ideas on it's age Or if it's not a pewter spoon I'm wide open for suggestions. Thanks Dean

Yep, is pewter and is old! I would be hitting that area in search of MASS silver!


You might get a time frame from the UK guys, they like spoons more than me.

Yeah I have lost quite a few old sites over the last few years but not much you can do about it. Try to find a site while you're there and make the most of it.

The shell and little "wings" are French influence, so probably 1800 or later. This would have a "fiddle" style handle.
