It's been a great two years + since I started up again (quit detecting for about 20 years after starting as a kid). Met some great people to detect with through this site and found some great stuff. Here's a photo of all my silver coins and best other coins. I rarely dig other than silver copper tones. Although many disagree with this and I know I will miss the gold now and then, I waste much less time digging junk and therefore cover much more overall space and find a lot more of the silver and copper coins (including colonials).
17 Mercs
8 silver Rosies
8 silver Washingtons
4 Standing Liberties
2 Barber halves
2 Barber dimes
1 Spanish 1/2 Reale
2 silver rings (one pictured)
(non-slivers)
4 V Nickels
3 colonial coppers
2 large cents
1 buffalo nickel
1 two cent piece
(best single dig)
7 coins in one hole: two mercs, a Barber 1/2 and four wheaties (came back a few days later and found I had missed one of the four wheaties)
think I forget there are a couple or three Indian heads in the photo.

Those are some fantastic coins! Cant believe you quit for twenty years! Glad you got back into it!

Yes, I'm in the upstate NY area. A lot of good, old sites to hunt here and in Connecticut and New Jersey.

There's nothing wrong with being a dedicated coin shooter. You have an excellent collection to prove it.Keep up the good work out there. HH!

nice Bergie - you've done well for yourself! nice collection! WTG!

Yes, all these since starting again in last 2-3 years. There are a lot of good sites to be had and particularly in small towns where there are not many if any detectorists and almost any old private home (rarely are they detected).
