You’re welcome my friend!

That looks pretty good. Definitely worth a try.
And yes, Very Cool that the head comes off so you can snorkel around with it.

Yeah, without the battery in the handle you’re good to go.

I'm gonna get one of those things.

Everybody else is trying this new stuff I may as well jump in.

What color are they?
Is the display back lit?

Color is black and the display has an adjustable backlight of always on to several levels of backlight. If you decide to purchase good luck!

Yeah, I'm in.

I only hunt at night, black machine, back lit,......

Cool, I like it.

I just wanted to mention the YouTube channel of TreasureNet member “Iffy Signals” where I saw his excellent video on taking the Simplex controller off to snorkel with.
Here’s the link:

I think my first machine had radio tubes in it! Probably not, but it was a long time ago.

Maybe it had one of those big weird batteries.

That's back in the day.

6V lantern battery. They were as big as the flashlight.

No doubt! We used to do science experiments with them.
I can't remember for the life of me what they were but those huge batteries sure commanded a lot of respect.

Cool Thanks!

Looks like it doesn't weigh very much.

Maybe an ounce or two heavier than the Equinox but has a nice balance. The backlight will most definitely come in handy on a night hunt.
It also has a small LED built into the backside of the controller for checking out what's in the scoop.
I just did a quick night hunt with the Deus and was very grateful for the backlight option.

I just ordered one, and a pin pointer I've been wanting to try.

So far that Simplex has just the stock 11" coil.
Down the line I'd like to get a smaller coil, maybe an 8" or 6".

And before January is over I am going to order an EQ 600.
There is a Christmas special where they include a 6" coil at no cost.
The special runs thru to the end of January.

Received the Simplex and the pin pointer.
Both seem nice.

Gonna use them over the holiday season.

Hope it worked out with the new detector SanMan. Good luck!
