Picked Up A Cobbs Last Night

Sorry, I didn't find it. I wish I had. Even damaged this is an amazing piece.

My brother went to an auction in Clinton county last week and bought a few nice pieces of Hard Stone, some Points, and a box of brokes that had this in it. Undamaged I would say it was around 5 inches long or maybe a little longer. It is around 4 1/2 inches long as is.

This piece is very well made with some great flaking and a nice bevel on each face. The best think about the Cobbs is it is made from a really high grade of Carter Cave Flint. I got this for $20 from my brother and if whole it would be worth 15 to 20 times that. I think I may just send this one to Gomer to make it whole again.

Lets see it when its done. Looks nice now though.

Nice one Steve! You know my feelings on restoring...... Go for it.

One thing nice about Gomers repairs, is you can always make them go away, should someone would want it as found again.

Thanks guys. I'm going to see how much to restore it and I may get it done.

Definitely some killer flaking.

Wow, very nice. A steal at $20, definitely worth restoration IMHO. Thanks for the view.

My brother was going to try to get $40 or more out of it and I talked him into selling it to me for $20.
