Picked up dime, thought I had gold, I think it's silver.
Finishing up a week cleaning up debris in an old bar, I managed a 37D Washington and a 56 Rosey. That brings to ten this week's silver from that place and I anticipate maybe a few more. We'll see. In a public place, not the kind of place where you draw attention to what you've found (urban Pittsburgh), I reached down to pick up a dime. Only it wasn't a dime. When I got down there, I saw a small gold angel and I could see markings on the thing. "Bingo!" I spent the day happy that I'd found a little gold. Finally home, I put the angel under magnification and the best I could make out is 925LA. Not the 18K I was looking for! Hopefully, I'll be able to blow up the picture enough to get a good read, but I'm pretty sure that 925 does not equal AU. Total silver coins this week: Franklin half, two Washingtons, five Mercs and two Roseys.

That Franklin was a neat find. That's one that is still on my check list.
