Well here is where I spent the 2 full days while on vacation. Was lots of fun! Its what used to be the town of Lima, IA. Check out what used to be Brook St. I was pretty stoked when I happened upon it. Then I found the foundations of 2 houses and a blacksmith shop. Unfortunately the flood of 1993 pretty much destroyed and polluted the remains pretty badly.

My advice: get a bulldozer and start digging up everything. There has to be something good there

Very nice site, dig out the outhouse, may be a cache or some old bottles in it. HH, Mike

Looks like a really cool place. Were those roads ever covered or were they always dirt? I would really hunt the length of them ,even the eroded spots plus that creek bed. The outhouse definatly....WAY TO GO!.

They were always dirt. I did hunt a small portion of them. I simply ran out of time! The whole ghost town covers several hundred acres. I wanted to get down to that creek bed but I was to intrigued by everything else! Next time I get up there will be in 2 weeks... We shall see what it yields! All I know is that I can not wait!!!

Bulldozer...hmmm... I don't think the park would like that! I will take some help if anybody is offering! It is in NE Iowa about 30 minutes from the Wisconsin boarder!
