It's hands down the best drive on the planet!

That's a 'Beautiful Drive', I made it on a Motorcycle in the 60's, drove in to San Francisco singing (when you're going to San Francisco), i saw the sights on Haight Ashbury, lost a few pounds, (couldn't find work), stayed a few weeks, ate at the Salvation Army, (God Bless them), sold a pint of blood plasma, & headed south.

Nice pics.
We should get over that way more often.
I ran a post a while back on Jade Cove, there in Big Sur.
There's also jade on the beach, maybe a mile south of the pic you took at Leffingwell's boat launch.

The beach in the cove at San Simeon and the pier are among my favorite places over that way.
