Finally getting some pictures (hopefully) down to the right size so I can post them here. These are only pictures of the type of areas that we hunt in. Hope you
enjoy. If this works, then I will post pictures of finds made the last 4 weeks, as soon as I can get them arranged.

i was in Korea for about 1 months time back when i was married. beautiful country, beautiful girls, and i'd kill to go back.

I take it that that is in South Korea? If so, tell some of the people to head north and take out Kim Jun Il for me.....Thanks! jgas

I am glad you have found a camera.

I am looking forward to more pictures of your finds and hunting grounds. The picture with the misty rice paddies and the pagoda is wonderful.

It is so peaceful looking, I feel like I am finally ready to put down my Arisaka and have a sandwich....
Plehbah, Will try to post more pics. I do feel I am very fortunate to be here. And, yes the places we hunt, for the most part, are off the beaten path,
up in the hills/mts, and very few times, we see a passing hiker, who stops to see what we are doing, and sometimes to dig a coin themselves.
By the way, always enjoy your posts.....I am in the process of going back through all 189 or so pages of messages, Daily hunt.....what a high!!!

Well, don't KILL anyone to get back here, but, if you do LEGALLY ::) you got a person who will show you how to hunt Korea.
Room for many many more in the hills here. (I married one of the beautiful ladies here. Know what you mean.) :laughing9:

JGAS, if the next week is like this last week, we won't have to go north to find him,,,,,,he's getting ready to come south.
Hope not, but I am afraid he is in for a big awakening this time......won't be a walk in the park for N. Korea, like it was last time.
(Would like to go North to hunt some of the hills/mts there......but, don't think I will see that in my lifetime.)

Wanted to let all know, the pictures are self-explanatory, except one. That is the one with the one item.
That is an old, handmade cigarette holder. Find them, and variations of them, occasionally. always a nice addition
to the collection.
Also, last weekend, found a new site.....only 4 holed coins, oldest 1679, but found a clay figurine of a horse with saddle,
in quite remarkable detail. The legs and head had busted off, as they always do. But, i have about 1/3 of the horse,
which is the most of any of the clay figures that I have found. These date back about 1,000 years or so. This one
will go to the museum in SangJu, which is the closest large city to where I found it. Needs to be seen by more people
then will come into my home and look at my stuff. Will post it and the coins that I found. (GREAT NEWS: Didn't
find any snakes......but probably will before the summer is over. Don't look forward to that. :o)
Thanks to all who look, and post. Good hunting.

Great post thanks hikeinmts :icon_thumright: Look forward to seeing more of your finds.
It's a beautiful place alright. Let's hope the worst doesn't happen and the North see sense.
I know a few very nice Kiwi Koreans. :icon_sunny:

Mike, Thanks for sending your message. Just this last week I was coming in from work, and saw a gentleman looking at the same building site I was.
Noticed he was not a Korean. So, said hello. He lives just around the corner from me, and is from.........New Zealand. Has taught here before,
enjoyed it, and so has came back and is teaching English in one of the local high schools. (When I saw your post, I thought, "What a coincidence.")
Do you ever do any trading of coins, stamps? I had a great trading partner in Australia, but haven't heard anything from him in the last 2 years or so.
He was not in the best of health. Anyway, if you would like to trade some N.Z. coins for some Korean coins, we could do it. Let me know.
Again, H.H. Bill

Great post - beautiful looking area. Love to see more. Cheers Gary

nice finds and thanks for sharing. by the way dont worry about lil kim he's killed more of his own people than the south ever could or would. that man is a whacko certifiable.

Nice finds. Spent quite a bit of time in Korea in the 70's. Beautiful place. Be careful over there. The North is rattling their sword again >:(

Kia ora Bill, I have sent you a PM.

Nice find. Thats some of my old stomping grounds. I was there on the DMZ in 67, and 68. Believe me I didn't have time for detecting then. It would have been nice though. Congrats, and Happy Hunting.......
