Great beauty :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: Get it cleaned professionally. There were 3 waves of Neo Egyptian jewellery - 1798-1815, 1860's and 1880-1920. I might be wrong but there is something very Art Nouveau-ish about the fair lady, like her long flowing hair which is very typical of the time. Those Art Nouveau things are very collectable. Would like to see photos when it is cleaned and will vote a banner.

Excellent piece. May we see a pic of the back? Looks like neoEgyptian (early 1800's) or Egyptian revival (mid to late 1800's).

Show us the back. and maybe have an archy look at that.

Wow Brett,
That is a really cool looking piece of GOLD!
It looks very real and old.

Hope it turns out to be something good.

Maybe someone on here can give you a clue as to what you have there in your possesion.

HH.

Darn! Another T-net sniper. Comes in, posts a pic and a story to get us all drooling on our keyboards, then slips off quietly into the night.

Come on back to your thread and show us the back of that beauty! We also wanna see the A.C. pics. (After Clean) :icon_thumleft:

In 1890 - 1905 a number of gold jewellery appeared inspired by ancient civilizations. A series of 'lady's heads' was popular like Bysantine lady's head here. I wonder if it is not an Egyptian lady's head of the same series. Dying to see the marks.
