Piece to a bell?

It says BELL, CLEAR TONE. Also has an image of a bell on it. One side is longer than the other. Any guesses?

It looks lie something that belonged to Bell telephone. (not a bell though)

Looks like a toe tap. Heel plate "or later called a heel tap" went on the heel toe tap on the toe. Tony

Wow, great i.d.! What's so wierd is that there was somethig Bell Telephone had called "clear tone". Wonder if Bell sued the tap dancer for trademark infringement
