Back in 2001 an Elderly Couple stopped by at I was Detecting a Drained Lake,
and Showed me a Display Case of Colonial Silver & Artifacts They Found over the years at Pilger Rue.
Location. 40° 30.803′ N, 76° 20.262′ W. Marker is near Bethel, Pennsylvania, in Berks County. It is in Bethel Township.
Road To the LEFT
We Parked on this road by the Spring.
A man come walking down to get is Mail.
He had a Large dog with him That kept at his Side.
My Hunting Buddy Stay'd away he had former issues with a dog attacking
His wife years before that, and had reason Not to Trust Dogs.
I on the other-hand Fear no one as Long as I See Them, and Approached.
Though the dog did give me a little Concern, it was well behaved Just Intimidating
Though Word is, This Man will Shoot First and answer questions only if he has to
the spring is Not on his Property.
He was nothing but Polite to Me, Though he only Answered My questions.
he wouldn't hold a conversation with me. Due to my Known info on the Guy & his Guarded Attitude, We left in case he Decided to call the cops because I Parked at the Spring. so Detecting only lasted maybe 10 Minutes
Parking is Supposed to be up at the Appellation trail
Then Walk in and follow the Old Tulpehocken trail down to the Spring
