pin pointer

Garrett pro pointer is the best of the best in my opinion.

Take a look at the TRXpointer with the Makro adjusting Pro find feature on its Vibra probe. :) You asked a pretty loaded question for around here.

The one we own!

Many newer pinpointers on market these days.
I have exclusively used Garrett's ProPointer.
A recent thread has stated the release of a new fully waterproof version.
Examine your needs and budget.
I vote for Garrett.
(Be sure to purchase from a reputable dealer, as counterfeits of many brands are out there).

Peace ✌

Detectnix X-Pointer

Hello cowbuyup,

I use the Garrett Pro pin pointer as my primary device, but have the White’s TRX (backup) and a free Vulcan 360 (do not recommend) from a metal detector purchase.

May purchase the Makro pin pointer in a few weeks to give it a try. I did read that Garrett has a new waterproof pin pointer coming out this season.

Regards,

I have had the Garrett Pro pointer since they came out and you can not beat them .. Now i will get the new waterproof AT Garrett... post-1-0-69007500-1419820921.webp

Thanks everyone

Have any of you picked up the new garret waterproof pinpointer? I'm just wondering how it compares to the pro. I was leaning toward picking up the Deteknix Pin-pointer but it would be nice to have a waterproof one instead.

If money is no object the new Garrett $149. If it is, the Deteknix $89.

If reliable function is important choose TRX and if function is not important then choose the X pointer.

I've had my Garrett for 3 years with some issues but recently got a Detdknix x-pointer and used it steadily for 3 months and it does exactly what is expected and then some. All the features it has is great, the 4stage sensitivity helps, the 3 minute reminder alarm, the lose it alarm has to be a top feature for anyone who's lost their pinpointer before. For $90 you can't go wrong

There will be some who will poo poo it because you didn't spend a ton of money, so it must not be good. Usually from people who did. I would ask those who actually own one. And the vast majority love theirs. And you can bet their wallets are fatter because of it.

So you can get this for $89

That does more and comes with more than This for $128

and this $148

Which costs a little more than this $58

I do own one and I found that the data displayed on many of the threads of this forum does support what I said. If you have a negative (poo poo) thoughts about those reports, maybe you should address them directly to those who have taken their time and and money to be able to report their findings. I have no problem with anyone who excepts a lesser products function as satisfactory. If you are happy with that then so be it. Others however expect more value for their investment.

Those convinced against their will, are of the same mind still. Value is what you get for the amount you spent, and the value ratio favors my choice IMO. Apparently Garrett must see that also, as they have done a total redesign of their propointer to counter the new competition, the X-pointer(that doesn't false) and the Makro (waterproof). From what I have heard, the new propointer will be $149. So if that is true, I would expect to see the old propointers selling for around $99. Competition is good! You can bet all the other manufactures are re-evaluating their prices, their performance, and features vs the competition.

I have and used the Garrett pro pointer for quite a few years, I have 2 of them. However, being a Whites guy when the Whites TRX came out, I bought one. Since then, my pro pointers stay home in a drawer.

Kellyco has the new garret waterproof pinpointer for $127 right now. Hopefully someone who has it can chime in here and tell us about it. If they fixed the problem the pro had with falsing that would change my mind on which one to get.
