Hi Jeff,
there is this book called : The Treasure of the Tuamotus . by George Hamilton from 1939 ( I think he made a expedition to that Island in around 1931 32 )
It tells the same Story with Fotos and the same Names as in the Article from 1921
I think under the Name of the Tuamotus Treasure some one can find more infos on the www.
