Philately...sounds like something they give you a shot for.

I do have a stamp collection from my grandfather; there's a whole lot of stamps, but I believed he concentrated more on the Vatican issued stamps. One of these days I'm going to dig it out and try and get some kind of value on it.

If your Vatican collection is extensive (over 50 different stamps), you may wisht to join the Vatican Philatelic Society. Of course also keep using TNet for your questions regarding ID and value.

It' nice to find a stamp with some value while searching through a lot of older stamps, starting a tedious task of checking through stamps that look identical yet are printed in different methods and different perforations, I did find two stamps, both used, one list for $215 & the other $200. Like detecting, dig thru a lot of junk, but you can and do find a treasure or two. They were scott cat. # 578 & 579. I know I will really check them again, because it seemed to good to be true? I've only counted perforations five times, couple more time couldn't hurt.
